WHAT CAN I EXPECT
Sessions are suitable for the clay target novice to the AA Elite or Olympian - each session is tailored to the requirements of the athlete. Initial session will assess whether your needs are fundamentals or fine tuning. Suzy will look at gun fit and equipment, your technique will be analysed, assessed and then if needed corrections made. Suzy can also coach on competition mindset and routines and readiness to compete. You will have written notes of the session, notes on things to work on and some photos and footage to take away.
You can also expect a warm, welcoming, patient and caring coach with good communication skills who remembers what it was like to be new to the sport but also an elite athlete always seeking improvement. Suzy prioritises her clients.
WHATS INCLUDED
Coaching, written athlete analysis and things to work on, photos/videos, and if required use of firearms and safety equipment.
WHATS NOT INCLUDED
Range fees, targets, ammunition or an exclusive range.
WHERE
Sessions are held at the Sydney International Shooting Centre, Range Road, Cecil Park 2178. The range is open Wednesday 10am-10pm, Friday 10am-10pm, Saturday & Sunday 10-5pm. Available at the venue are the following Shotgun Disciplines: Down The Line (incl. Double Rise and Handicap) , American Skeet, Sporting 5 Stand, Olympic Skeet, Olympic Trap and Universal Trench - from time to time Suzy will have a "Try Shooting" layout of a variety of disciplines available.
THE COACH
Coaching will be with Suzy Balogh OAM, Olympic & Commonwealth Gold Medallist. ACTA National Coach and Head Coaching Director 2014-2020. Competition Level Coach & International ISSF Coach. Suzy has coached very successful National Teams at World Cups, Junior World Cups, DTL Oceanias and University Championships and UniGames.
As a shooter Suzy has won Olympic, Commonwealth, World, Oceania and National Titles. She has won National Titles in and represented Australia in DTL, Skeet, Universal Trench, ISSF Trap, ISSF Skeet and Double Trap.
Suzy is one of the Australian Institute of Sport's Gold Medallist Alumni working on the Gold Medal Ready Program focussed on athlete competition mindset having prepared athletes for Tokyo 2020 and future Games.
